There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Flounder, Weakfish, Largemouth Bass, White Perch, Yellow Perch, Bull Shark, Sheepshead, Striped Bass, Bluefish, and more if conditions are right. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Christopher is happy to have kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your trip begins aboard a 20’ KenCraft center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Half Day Trip (AM) on May 15, 2025
I had a wonderful time. First time on an actual charter and fishing. We wore the bluefish OUT. Captain Christopher Cobb was just awesome man. We had alot in common and he can hold a conversation and don't shrug you off. He got us our limit today within hours. Me and my sons would pull them in he'd take them off in a jif and me and my sons were fishing in seconds. Fast, knowledgeable, and just an all around great guy. I recommend him. Me and my sons will be back next year to book him again. Thank you sir for a wonderful day. Now I can go back to WV and share the blues with friends!

As an added bonus to our trip, he spotted a pod of dolphins and stopped by then so we could have a closer look. We have been on other charters and this one is by far the best we have been on. Captain Chris was awesome! I booked a quick trip for my older sons and their girlfriends during our time in OBX. From the minute I booked until the trip concluded communication with the captains was reliable, and friendly. My sons said he was 'cool as hell' and they 'had a great time'. And to top it off, in honor of my oldest son's military service he extended the trip bit longer at no additional charge to express his gratitude for his service! Giving my kids experiences has always been important to me, that has not changed even though they're older. I am grateful Captain Chris made this OBX activity a memorable one for my boys.

My girlfriend and I had a great day out on the water with Captain Chris! Chris was well prepared to put us on the fish. We stopped along the way to enjoy pods of dolphin passing by and took some fish home for dinner!
