Even though the season was winding down for Red Drum and Sheepshead, Capt. Lance Luke with Outcast Charters OBX knew exactly where to find them.  We caught 14 good sized Sheepshead and three Red Drum, one a citation fighter.  Capt. Lance knew not only how and why the fish would be in the location he chose, but also how to help us reel them in.  We are senior anglers, but that didn’t stop us from taking in a haul on a day when other boats on the Sound came back lighter.  The 23-foot body was in exceptional condition and the gear was top-of-the-line.  Capt. Lance was easy to talk to and happy to share all his knowledge!  We highly recommend Outcast Charters OBX and will fish with Capt. Lance again!

My name is Gregg and my son in law had a great time and learned a lot from Capt Lance, it was only 2 hrs this time but we enjoyed the trip and the knowledge from Capt Lance was really a learning lesson for me and with that I’m going to say from the bottom of my heart that I enjoyed it even though I have both rotator cuffs torn and surgery 2 weeks ago prior to the trip. Painful as it was we enjoyed ourselves and plan on coming back next year for a longer trip. God bless you Capt. And stay safe out here.

Fishing with Outcast on OBX Sound was an unforgettable experience, especially with my grandson. Captain Lance’s expertise and enthusiasm made the trip exceptional. We tried for some trout but then targeted sheepshead, and they didn’t disappoint! The boat was well-equipped, the scenery stunning, and the bonding time with my grandson priceless. The Cap’n let us know the marina could clean and cook our catch if we wanted. I’m glad we listened to that suggestion. The sheepshead were delicious cooked up fresh. Highly recommend Outcast for anyone looking to make lasting memories on the water!

So we booked a full day w/Capt. Lance, but as can be the case in mid-April, weather was a bit chilly, with a persistent NE breeze, which sent water temps way down and gave the fish lock jaw!  We had one bite, and landed one really nice trout, which made it’s way to the dinner table!  That said, the lack of action, was NOT for a lack of effort.  Capt. Lance ran all over from the back water up in Kitty Hawk and we fished all the way back down to the inlet, up behind the lighthouse, I mean he was relentless!  He worked his network of guides and buddies, just wasn’t happening…so although we booked a full day, with the lack of action he offered to cut the trip short and adjust the price…he was even willing to cut back to a half day, but being “diehards” we stayed a couple extra hours.  I’ve fished all over, extensively, and would HIGHLY recommend Lance.  He’s hard working, professional, knows his craft, his boat and equipment are top notch, and he’s a pleasure to spend a day on the water with.  Anytime we are in the OBX area, OUTCAST will be our Charter!

Outcast Fishing Charters Captain Lance was an excellent with my grandson…nervous at first ..but he was very patient and helped him build his angler confidence…taught him technique as well as some skills that were new to me…we WILL be back with him next year…..great time…GREAT charter…Great Captain/Guide
