Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
You will be fishing from a locally-made 27' sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. The Captain has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

Here’s a more natural, polished version: Best crew and top-quality equipment! We caught tuna, groupers, and lumberjack using different fishing techniques, including casting, jigging, and trolling. The crew is extremely experienced. A special mention to Ibrahim, an amazing fishing guide, and Captain Abdullah — both highly professional and passionate. I have now been to Saltstriker for the second time, and once again it was an outstanding experience. Even though the weather and overall conditions were not the best during our trip, everything was perfectly organized and professionally handled. Ibrahim did an amazing job finding the right spots every single day. Thanks to his experience and dedication, we were still able to catch fish consistently – including GTs, Bluefin Trevally, Red Snapper, and many more species. What really stands out is the effort and knowledge that goes into making each trip successful, regardless of the circumstances. We spent 10 days in the Maldives in December 2025 and went fishing twice — both trips were a great success. The SaltStriker team is, without a doubt, the best fishing crew we have ever been out with. They arrived at our resort exactly at the agreed time, and on our first trip we caught our first fish — a yellowfin tuna — just 10 minutes after putting the lure in the water! During these trips, two of my fishing dreams came true: catching a yellowfin tuna and catching a GT (giant trevally) on a popper. It was absolutely unforgettable! We caught many different species, and everyone got to catch fish — me, my wife, and our son. It was a fantastic experience for the whole family. Ibrahim was my guide for this trip, and he did an outstanding job. He has excellent knowledge of the best spots, navigates the reefs perfectly, and always has a solution for any situation. The boat is very well equipped with a fish finder, radar, and more. It also features a perfect casting platform. The service from the crew was exceptional, and the pickup was very punctual. We fished for four or eight hours straight and caught many GTs, red snappers, sharks, and bluefin trevally. It was an eventful experience that I would book again and highly recommend.
