Sweet Dreams Sportfishing Cabo 35
Make the most of your time in Quepos and go fishing with Sweet Dreams Sportfishing.
Local species include Sailfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, and more if conditions allow.
You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
The Captain will bring you aboard a 35' Sportfishing that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain Guillermo will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Sweet Dreams Sportfishing is just a click away, so why not make it happen?

We came to Quepos hoping to catch a sailfish. We left having caught FOUR, including one that measured 105 inches. I still can't believe it. Captain Johnny (Johan) knew exactly where to put us. No wasted time, no second guessing. The man just knows the water. And Mario as first mate was incredible: fast, calm, funny, and always in the right spot at the right moment. He kept everything running smooth all day long. On top of the fishing, we saw hundreds of dolphins. Hundreds. And the view of the coastline was absolutely out of this world. It was one of those days where you keep looking around thinking 'is this real life?' Oh, and lunch. We had zero expectations for lunch on a fishing charter. What we got was a hot, home cooked meal that ended up being one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. We are still talking about it. It was a group of six of us, a mix of experienced anglers and total beginners, and everyone felt completely taken care of from start to finish. 105 inches. Four sails. I keep saying it because I'm still processing it. If you're going out of Quepos, ask for Sweet Dreams and ask for Johan and Mario. You won't regret it.
We had the absolute best time on our family fishing trip this past Monday out of Marina Pez Vela in Quepos. We went out on Sweet Dreams with Captain Carlos and his amazing crew, Mario and Darren, and from start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The crew was professional, warm, and so much fun. Captain Carlos knew exactly where to take us, and thanks to their skill and effort, we brought in a bunch of yellowfin tuna and Spanish mackerel! Everyone in our family—from teens to adults—was completely engaged and had an unforgettable time reeling them in. The boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it perfect for a full day out on the water. We've been enjoying the fruits of our trip all week—tuna ceviche, grilled steaks, tacos, and sashimi. Truly an experience we'll never forget. If you're looking for a top-notch fishing charter in Costa Rica, book a day with Sweet Dreams and Captain Carlos. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks you so much Rene! The crew was really happy to share with you and they are happy to know that you enjoyed it a lot! We hope to see you back. Pura Vida

Captain Carlos and first mate Mario are top notch. Sweet Dreams is a really good boat for a group of 4-6 people. I took my kids and father-in-law and I am glad to have gone with Sweet Dreams and would choose them again. The guys were great to work with - it was a slower day but we caught Tuna, Triple Tail, and some smaller fish. Great job to Sweet Dreams, I'm tired from a good day on the water and about to eat our fish and then enjoy some sweet dreams tonight. God Bless!
Thank you so much Jim! We were really happy to share with you guys and happy to know that you enjoyed it

4 sails, 3 snapper, 3 grouper and 1 tilefish in 6 hours. Exceptional captain and make and a very comfortable and clean boat. My 2nd time fishing with them and I highly recommend to anyone thats focused on fishing or just having a good time on the water.
We had an awesome time. Mate Mario is a good kid and speaks English well. Captain Carlos runs the boat well while fighting the fish. The boat is spacious and comfortable. 8 sails released the morning bite was slow due to the full moon.
