Spend the day with Sea Smiles Charters and get hooked on fishing in Carolina Beach! Having logged many hours in the ocean, Captain Coby knows them forwards and back.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Bluefish, and King Mackerel on half-day trips! On full-day trips, you might hook into King Mackerel, Tuna, Wahoo, Amber Jack, Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, and any Billfish! For these species, you're likely to troll using heavy tackle on full days, and light tackle on half days!
You'll be dropping lines from a 47' Buddy Davis sportfishing vessel with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods reels, tackle, and bait are supplied for you. Bring your cooler with plenty of ice.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 15–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You don't need to get a local fishing license before the trip. The Charter provides the fishing license you need for the trip!! Some species may be off-limits so make sure you know what to expect. Fill free to ask as many questions as you want!!
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunblock, bottled water, snacks and anything else you'd like to drink! Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just try to avoid bringing glass bottles if you can(if you do bring glass bottles please be careful!!! Smoking is also allowed outside in the cockpit where you'll be fishing!! Just no smoking INSIDE the boat please!!!
PARKING IS FREE!!! You will be parking in the owner's front yard or in the parking lot at the end of the neighborhood. Free parking is nearly impossible to find in CB!

Yesterday myself and 4 other friends went on an 8 hour trip on the sea smiles. None of us had previously been deep sea fishing and we’re all extremely excited. We got to the dock early, as instructed, and boarded the boat after a quick debriefing form captain Coby. Following that we were off to the deep blue. Once we reached the fishing grounds it was action packed. One fish after another totaling to 17 tuna, 3 mackerel, and an amberjack. Coby and his mate Jacob were both fantastic, knowledgeable, easy going, and sure to put us on the fish. On top of the fantastic time, weather, and crew let me tell you about the boat. The sea smiles was very clean, spacious, and comfortable for everyone. The interior offered a bathroom, 2 large couches, a fridge, and everything we needed to be comfortable. This was truly an incredible experience and can’t wait to book again. Thank you Coby and Jacob!

I charted the Sea Smiles boat for my Birthday March 10 2024 and we did a trip to the gulfstream with 5 of my buddies. It was a little rough that day but the boat handled the seas pretty well and no one got seas sick. With in the first 10 minutes of having our lines in the water we had 2 hook ups, a pair of tunas. Captain Coby and his mate were extremely knowledgable about catching fish and showing our crew how to fight and land them. We caught a a couple of wahoos and some more tuna that day and overall was a great day of fishing. I would highly recommend this boat and crew if you want to put some fish in the cooler. We got back to the dock and they cleaned all the fish and had it bagged a ready for the cooler with ice. Thanks Coby and mate

We took our son out for his 18th Birthday on May 19th, 2024. The crew was amazing, it was the first time some of us had been offshore. We caught Amberjack, Spanish mackerel, King mackerel and tuna. The waves were a little choppy, but the captain and mate were in it for the long haul to make sure my son had the best birthday and caught fish! Would highly recommend and will be booking another trip in the future.

We had a great time. Crew was great. We have dozens of stories from this trip. Will go again. Caught, one large socket tunna, four Mahi Mahi (dolphinfish). We hooked a white marlin and was not able to get it in. We seemed to have the best catch of all the boats in the marina on the day we went.

This was our first off shore fishing trip. My buddies and I had a great time. Chris showed us how to do everything and made everything very clear and easy. Definitely recommend!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
