Introducing Captain Dennis Hodge Jr., affectionately known as Brody. Born and raised on the beautiful emerald coast, Brody developed a deep love for the water and the mysteries beneath the gulf's surface from a young age. He began fishing as soon as he could walk and has been passionate about it ever since. His enthusiasm for fishing was so profound that he dreamt of running his own charter boat to share his passion with others around the world.
Captain Brody's journey began on a well-known party boat in Destin, where he quickly rose to the position of first mate within the first month. His dedication, hard work, and love for fishing eventually led him to one of the top private boats in Destin, where he honed his skills in catching gamefish. After meeting all the necessary requirements, Brody took and aced the OUPV/6-pack captain's license test on his first try.
Now, Captain Brody is eager to share his expertise and love for fishing with you and your loved ones on his very own private, 36ft Hatteras Sportfish vessel.

5 hour troll and bottom fish on August 11, 2026 • 2 adultsWe caught a ton of red snapper, some trigger fish, and a few other species of fish. Our Captain Brody and Mate Bill was fantastic. Brody brought all of the energy and put us on the fish and Bill stayed busy keeping bait on our hooks and taking the fish off for us to maximize our fishing time. The boat has a ton of room on the inside to take a break or use the restroom and the back fishing deck has plenty of room to move around and catch some fish. They will definitely have you catching alot of fish it turns into a workout. 10/10 experience and will book with them again in the future.

5 hour troll and bottom fish on October 16, 2025 • 6 adults • 2 childrenYou will not be disappointed taking a trip with Captain Brody! Our 5 hour excursion flew by! He got us in Bonito's as we trolled out for some bottom fishing. Surprisingly difficult to real up those fish! We all caught fish trolling, even my 6 year old got to reel some. Bottom bouncing was non stop action. White snapper, Vermillion snapper, rock fish, trigger fish and many others! The finale was a shark double. My wife and I both had on 10 foot plus sharks that both made it to the boat. Like bull shark for the wife that we got to see for a brief minute before it bit the line and a nurse shark for me. We got pictures and a video of this fight from Captain Brody. Deck hand Bill was a huge help keeping us fishing and helping get the sharks to the boat. If you have time, book a day out with with Joyce K. Charters. You won't regret it.

I would recommend this trip to anyone. Troll on the way out to the reef, slam some fish, and troll on the way back. Not a wasted moment! We caught a nice grouper, a few large triggers, a bunch of snappers, ocean perch and a sea robin?!?! The first mate couldn’t keep enough bait on 6 rods to the point i had to help out because we were catching so many. These guys really know what they’re doing!
Capt Brody and Jan Michael were so great and so fun to spend the day on the water with. They were so great in knowing the places to go for a successful fishing trip. We will def be back again and will totally recommend them for your fishing trip!!

Capt. Dennis Hodge is your guide to an unforgettable fishing adventure in the waters of Destin, Florida. The crew will demonstrate techniques such as bottom fishing, trolling, or something unique to the area. The only way to learn is to join them on the water. Make sure to always bring a tip for your mate. Your mate is working hard before during and after the trip. A customary tip is around 15-20% of the total trip cost.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
