Introducing Captain Dennis Hodge Jr., affectionately known as Brody. Born and raised on the beautiful emerald coast, Brody developed a deep love for the water and the mysteries beneath the gulf’s surface from a young age. He began fishing as soon as he could walk and has been passionate about it ever since. His enthusiasm for fishing was so profound that he dreamt of running his own charter boat to share his passion with others around the world.

Captain Brody’s journey began on a well-known party boat in Destin, where he quickly rose to the position of first mate within the first month. His dedication, hard work, and love for fishing eventually led him to one of the top private boats in Destin, where he honed his skills in catching gamefish. After meeting all the necessary requirements, Brody took and aced the OUPV/6-pack captain’s license test on his first try.

Now, Captain Brody is eager to share his expertise and love for fishing with you and your loved ones on his very own private, 36ft Hatteras Sportfish vessel.

WOW! Tip to tail fish and Sharks!

5 Hour Trip on October 16, 2025 • 4 adults • 2 children

You will not be disappointed taking a trip with Captain Brody! Our 5 hour excursion flew by! He got us in Bonito's as we trolled out for some bottom fishing. Surprisingly difficult to real up those fish! We all caught fish trolling, even my 6 year old got to reel some. Bottom bouncing was non stop action. White snapper, Vermillion snapper, rock fish, trigger fish and many others! The finale was a shark double. My wife and I both had on 10 foot plus sharks that both made it to the boat. Like bull shark for the wife that we got to see for a brief minute before it bit the line and a nurse shark for me. We got pictures and a video of this fight from Captain Brody. Deck hand Bill was a huge help keeping us fishing and helping get the sharks to the boat. If you have time, book a day out with with Joyce K. Charters. You won't regret it.

5 Hour Trip - 2:00 PM on July 27, 2025 • 3 adults

Captain Brody was awesome!!! Commutation great from the beginning. Found the boat, he explained everything, we made the trip out. The water and scenery was beautiful!!! As we were headed out, I felt sick, captain took great care of me immediately! My boys started catching fish quickly! Mr. Bill,the deckhand, was amazing with helping them and keeping the bait on the hooks. He filleted all the fish we caught so quickly. Super fun day! My one recommendation is take Dramamine 2 days before the trip. But we love the experience and crew! Thanks Captain Brody and Mr. Bill. We will see y’all next time. This momma will get the biggest fish next time. lol!

Best Fishing Trip

Afternoon 4 Hour Trip on July 15, 2025 • 4 adults

I took my adult kids lol out on this boat and it was perfect. We caught the most fish we had ever caught and almost landed a huge fish. The crew were very knowledgeable and were right on every catch. The even gave us tips on how to fish that we did not event know. We loved the cabin that was air conditioned to give us a break from the son. :I wish we had left earlier and stayed later. The captain is so much fun and showed so much excitement to have us on board you could tell that he loved what he was doing. The fishing mate had a vast amount of experience and gave us tips which helped us catch more that we would have normally. We are definitely going to do this trip with this team again. Mike

Best Deep Sea Fishing Trip

Morning 6 Hour Trip on April 26, 2025 • 5 adults

Myself, and 4 coworkers (All guys age 22-27) booked a 6 hour morning trip in late April with Brody and had the time of our lives. Eric ran the deck like a well oiled machine on steroids! We had lines in the water and fish on hooks the entire time. Two of our guys caught a fish for the first time ever and loved it. I have been on a few trips before and this was top of the line. Both Captain Brody and Eric were keen on making sure we caught fish but also allowed us to keep the vibes up by playing our music on the Bluetooth speakers in the boat and keeping us safe. I highly recommend booking with them and we want to come back and book an 8 hour trophy fishing trip with them later this year. I will note that we got extremely lucky with calm waters and catching good fish but as far as vibes and professionalism, these guys rock.

Spanish Mackerel Fishing Fun

Morning 6 Hour Trip on April 3, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 boys 10yo and 11yo) had a fantastic time on our 6 hour fishing trip with Captain Brody and Deckhand William! The waves were 4-8 feet swells out past the jetty, so we had to stay near shore, but that didn’t stop our fishing fun. We caught our quota of 40 Spanish Mackerel and left with several fish dinners in our future. Brody took us to the right spots while William loaded our hooks and was constantly helping us pull mackerel from the water. We tried for shark, but didn’t luck out with those. Frequent dolphin sightings were exciting as well. Brody and William were very friendly and knowledgeable about the fish and area. We would love to go out again with them someday!
