captain Philip was a really great guide. wish we would have booked two days with him instead of a different service we fished with the first day. He worked the boat and top/bottom pole to get us on fish. It was a slow start (even to the other guides we heard on the radio), but he kept at it, and moved to areas and kept at it. It payed off for a fantastic multi species catch. We got on red snapper, red grouper, triggerfish, and caught two beautiful king mackrel. Id attribute it to his knowledge and persistence. Great guide, great boat, and an awesome fishing experience we wont forget. Will 100% be back and fish with him again. Couldn’t recommened better!

We had an incredible experience on the 5-hour deep sea fishing charter with Captain Philip! From the moment we left the dock, it was clear he is an expert in his field. We booked the 6hr afternoon trip. There was no lack of excitement, fish hitting/catching, laughs, and TONS of “wow-moments”! I cannot recommend 850 charters enough and I promise you, you’ll walk away feeling the same…with a cooler full of fish and memories to last you a lifetime!

We had a 4-hour charter with Captain Phillip, as a party of 4. We caught our limit--10 per person--of vermillion snapper, as well as about 20 triggerfish that didn't make the size cutoff, but were terrific fighters. Phillip gave everyone as much help as they wanted/needed, and seemed to have 6 hands when things got fast! The boat was in great shape, and Phillip cleaned our catch back at the dock. We feasted on snapper that night, and took home enough (frozen) for several more meals. I would absolutely book with Captain Phillip again, and will next time we are in Destin.

wake up, mangrove snapper, and we caught some red snapper Spanish mackerel hooked into a couple big groupers, but could not land them. Captain worked really hard to get us on fish, but the bite was a little bit slow today, but that’s OK that’s part of fishing, but we did catch a pretty good bit of fish. Had a great time. The captain was great.

I recently reserved a fishing trip for my friends, and while I couldn't join them, their feedback was fantastic! We fished with Captain Philip and was absolutely amazing! We fished for our bait, then used that bait to hook some King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel and Tuna. Water was choppy, but he was fantastic at navigating the swells to keep all occupants safe. We would definitely book him again and recommend his to all of our friends and family. Thanks again Capt. It was a great first time to go deep sea fishing as a family. Philip put us on some fish, my husband caught his first Red Snapper. I liked catching our own bait, it was fun the way the bait fish would bite as soon as we put in the water. Caught Bonita, King Mackeral, Red Snapper, Squirrel fish, Amber Jack, Trigger fish, and even hooked a big shark.

Captain Philip was AMAZING!!! He took us to one spot and we caught our limit of red snapper within 10 minutes. Gorgeous weather and the beat of times!!! Highly recommend 850 Charters!!!

We had a blast with Captain Phillip today and had a morning of fishing we will never forget. He put us on the fish early and we had a steady stream of fish the whole trip. Just as we were getting ready to call it a day we tied into a dandy fish. After a solid 30 minute fight, we pulled in a 78” 79 lb. Monster of a fish. It was awesome.
