Shoot big and join us for your next big fishing adventure in the Gulf Shores. With Captain Jeremy at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Redfish, Sheepshead, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own.
Capt. Jeremy runs a 34' Baha catamaran with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Remember to pack essentials like snacks, bottled water/drinks, a hat, sunglasses, non-spray sunblock, and suitable clothing for weather conditions. Please refrain from bringing large coolers with wheels, as the boat offers insulated cooler boxes. Alcohol is allowed in moderation but kindly avoid glass bottles. Hard liquor is not permitted. IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN please let us know so that we can make sure we have a proper size Life Vest, or you may bring your own.

When Captain Ken knew it wasn’t going to work, we moved to a new location and started bottom fishing and boy, did we get on the fish and have a blast. Our deck hand Jay did a fantastic job keeping everyone baited, and even Ken stepped in when needed. My family had a great day of fishing, and we highly recommend Big Shooter Fishing Charter for anyone who’s looking to catch all types of fish and have a great time.

We had a party of 5 men looking for our limit in Red Snappers, porgies and beeliners and then we wanted some fun with some other fish! On this 12 hour trip they put us on 10 different species of fish including grouper, amberjack, and triggers. We got some triple tail, chased a mahi mahi, and trolled for some Barracuda and yellow fin tuna..The crew knew exactly how to fish for all Species and knew where to find the ones we were looking for! We had a blast with Big Shooter and will be back soon!

Unfortunately it was before the commercial season was open so we couldn’t keep our catch, which is on us for booking at the wrong time. The crew worked hard and were very helpful to the rest of my family who were beginner fisherman. They held great conversations and were knowledgeable about any questions we had. Great trip overall!

Unfortunately, we only landed one Bonita. The captain, Ken Sanders and the deckhand, Keith worked their tails off to put us on fish. We almost landed a monster Cobia, but it spit the hook out right next to the boat. It was just one of those days where the fish weren’t cooperating!
