Spend the day with First Light and see what's biting in Destin! With Captain Tyler at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Species like Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Swordfish, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Gray Triggerfish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Scamp Grouper, Gag Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Amberjack, and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish.
Kids are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Don't forget to bring food and drinks!
You'll be casting lines from a 47' G&S sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 10 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's an inside cabin with a bathroom, air conditioning, tv with Directv, kitchen, and plenty of lounging space. Capt. Tyler will provide rods and reels for you.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for the deckhand's hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. It's never a bad idea to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock.

On the trip, the Captain put us on our Targeted Fish ARS. we also caught Blackfin, Grouper. Our party had 9 family memeber. The charter had a Firstmate and a helping hand which took care of us all, especially focus on the two novice, fiest time deep sea fishing). All in all, it was a fun and safe family trip and would book again with them. I would recommend this chater for anyone.

First Light Charter took good care of our group while they were on their Senior Trip. Captain Tyler and his crew put the guys on some good fish and even shared videos and pictures from their trip with me from afar. i would definitely recommend them. my boys say it was their best fishing experience ever! Thanks for giving the such a memorable trip.

It was the best first experience I’ve had doing a 12 hour charter and would 100% recommend we caught Scamp Grouper, Vermillion Snappers, black snappers, Mahi Mahi and caught some Red snappers but they had to be put back in the water due to out of season also caught a small shark and I will definitely be coming back to fish with them when I get the chance to

first time shark fishing for everyone, caught a lot of sharks, Captain and deck hand were fantastic. will definitely do it again.

Captain Tyler, his First Mate, Jesse, and his deck hands were awesome! They keot us safe, but allowed us to get the most out ofnour experience. Fun crew with experience, knowledge, helpful. We caught so many fish! I would highly recommend them!
