Depending on conditions, you might hook into Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Yellow Perch, Crappie, Steelhead, Chinook Salmon, Sunfish, Coho Salmon, Walleye, and whatever else takes the bait. On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You'll be dropping lines from a 17' Lowe 1760 MT Jet boat with space for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. We had a great time with capt James on the big Manistee. He had several types of lures and bait to catch the attention of the fish of a thousand casts. He was personable, considerate, easy to ask questions, and very informative on what we were doing and why. It was a great experience for me as an experienced fisherman, and my wife as a novice.

Capt. James was very ambitous to get me and my son onto some fish. He knew where the fish was and there was plenty. The fish were very picky on this day but we caught some small brown trout and had 4 steelhead on the lines. We were able to reel in one of them in the boat. We were the only ones in the vicinity to get fish on the line this day. James was very informative and educational on how to fish for Steelhead. We will booking another trip with him again. Thx Capt. James for the great time!
