These waters are known for Hybrid Striped Bass, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. On these trips, it’s common to troll using heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You’ll be casting lines from a 25’ Sea Hunt sportfishing boat with capacity for 4 passengers. It has and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is not allowed.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with O Happy Day V!
