Dirk Burkett Sportfishing welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be dropping lines from a 37' Sea Ray 370EC sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). We caught 15 fish and kept 13 Salmon and one Lake Trout. My sons had the time of their life. The Captain and his 1st mate and deck hand were very engaging and knowledgable and provided so much help in getting the fish in the boat. They cleaned all the fish, bagged up the fillets and loaded them in our cooler. What a great day! Highly recommend booking with them.

My teenage son and I ended up catching 10 fish despite an hour late start (our fault). They were exactly the kind of fish we wanted and more than once we were bringing in multiple fish at the same time. My son had a smile from ear to ear. Capt. Dirk and his crew were so welcoming and gracious, we felt right at home in no time. And all this took place while a crazy unexpected fog surrounded us, but he managed it like a complete pro and gave us an awesome day. We’ll fish with him again.

Weather was a little sketchy but we fished anyway. Captain Dirk and First mate Tim were amazing. We caught fish and had a great time. Will fish with them again. Highly recommend. 5 star operation.
