These waters are known for Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. On these trips, it’s common to troll.
Dirk Burkett Sportfishing welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 37’ Sea Ray 370EC sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Top-Notch Crew, Tons of Fish, and a Big Win
Absolutely phenomenal experience with Captain Dirk and First Mate Tim! From the moment we stepped on the boat, it was clear we were in expert hands. Not only did we catch a ton of fish, but we also learned so much throughout the day. Dirk and Tim were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about what they do. They made the entire trip both fun and educational. And the cherry on top? We won the Dreamweaver Salmon Tournament thanks to their guidance and skill!
