Make some memories in Destin and go fishing with Good Thing Fishing Charter. Captain Trevor will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of angling experience.
Local species include Amberjack, Redfish, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Gag Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Tarpon, Cobia, Vermilion Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Pompano, and more if conditions allow. You’ll target your catch by spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Good Thing Fishing Charter welcomes kids aboard, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 28ft Cobia center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Trevor has rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Capt Trev will do everything he can to put you on fish. I did the 6hr trip. Started out slow catching bait then we went out and found some. Then he put me on some Kings and it was so awesome. I had never caught one before and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done before. I’m planning on it next year with him. We hooked a double. They both came out of the water to hit the bait and it was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen before. I highly recommend Capt Trev

Epic Day Out on the Gulf with Capt Trevor Carr

Capt Trevor Carr gave us an incredible day on the water! He knew exactly where to go and put us on some great fish—we were reeling them in left and right. His experience and energy made the whole trip enjoyable, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. For a solid day out on the gulf Capt Trevor is your guy. Highly recommend booking with him!

Capt. Trevor seemed to know the waters very well. The 1st place we went to I hooked into one almost as soon as my line hit the water. Every place he took us to we caught fish. No need to keep looking for a boat. Book with him now.

Captain Trevor always takes care of us, but the weather got us today. We tried to make it work but kept getting hit by the rough seas and bad weather. We will do it again next time.
