Destin Family Adventures 

Our first trip with Captain Brett was in 2025 and we absolutely had a blast. We booked another trip with him this year, May 14, 2026. There were three of us in 2025 but we brought 6 people this year including three with little or no fishing experience. These three individuals (my wife, daughter and son's girl friend) were more than a little intimidated and I thought that they might actually back out. I emailed Capt. Brett in advance of the day to tell him that a couple of us might not fish to allow him to focus more time on those who had no real fishing experience. He quickly responded that he would be able to work with all six of us. We of course appreciated his response but I was still a little skeptical that he would be able to manage that many people especially if we started catching allot of fish -- that simply seemed like allot of work for one guy, even someone we had already had a great experience with. My concerns were totally unfounded. Not only did Capt. Brett put us on the fish, but he had the entire boat running smoothly. He has incredible patience, is a great teacher and, frankly, is a fun person to get to know. Throughout the day we are learning more about the fish, fishing techniques, the community and other local activities. Those new to fishing were catching allot of fish and having the time of their lives. I am not sure who had more fun, the three of them or the rest of us seeing their smiles and hearing their excited shouts "fish on". We caught ALLOT of fish and kept enough to eat releasing many more. Beyond the fishing the boat ride itself was incredible. I have been on many fishing charters but Captain Brett's boat is one of the best, comfortable and fast, getting you to the fishing quickly. The weather was great, fishing excellent and the entire experience was something we will all remember. Everyone in the party wants to fish with Capt. Brett again, and we look forward to the next time. Brit, Patty, Alexi, Grant, Britton and Georgia.

The conditions weren’t ideal, but Captain Brett turned it into an unforgettable experience. His professionalism, knowledge, and positive attitude made the trip truly special. My son and I created memories that we’ll never forget. We caught triggerfish, red snapper, bonito, and mangrove snapper. Afterward, we grilled and fried the snapper, and it turned out to be the best meal we had during our entire trip. There’s nothing quite like catching your own fish and enjoying it fresh the same day.

Brought my 19yo daughter and 16yo son out. It was our fisrt time going fishing the gulf, we have plenty of lakes and rivers around us at home. Captain Brett knew the place, and we had fish on the line quickly, and didn’t really slow down. We caught nearly our limit of Mingo, and some time to troll for some wahoo. The captain was very efficient and always either helping bait hooks, or getting fish off. His instructions were always clear and easy to understand.

Captain Brett provided an amazing charter for us! We had five of us on board and he kept all of us on fish the whole time - never waiting for fish to bite too long and moving to find a new spot as they slowed down. He was baiting hooks and removing fish the entire time (dont forget having to keep the boat on the spot while doing all of this). The boat was clean with good gear. Just book the trip with Captain Brett - you will not be disappointed!

Fun 6hr trip, caught 35+ keepers with 3 guys fishing. Pink Snapper, red snapper, trigger and white snapper. Caught some grouper but just an inch to short. Great day!
