Spend the day with Custom Cat Charters and get your family hooked on fishing in Marathon! We specialize in family fun! Our boat is designed for family comfort. Plush seating, a huge dodger that makes shade for 12 people, and a large head, and shower to cool off.
Yellowtail Snapper, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Mutton Snapper, Wahoo, Hogfish, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Bonito, and more are in the cards if conditions are right.
You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are welcome! We are also pet-friendly! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You can bring your own food on board, or we can supply food for you and your guests. Must call for pricing on food choices (breakfast, lunch, or dinner).
We run a 35' custom-built catamaran that can accommodate up to 13 passengers.
Rods, reels, and tackle can be provided (speak to your concierge at Custom Cat Charters). Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks can be included at an additional charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, only plastic cups are allowed onboard. No glass bottles.

We caught yellow tail snapper and mangrove snapper, red and black grouper. The captain was first rate and the mate was great he kept us on the fish. This trip is good for first time anglers as well as older anglers

We had a great time snorkeling and our captain and first mate were very knowledgeable about the local area. However when it came time to fish- it was very underwhelming. We had to bait our own rods, take fish off, make suggestions, there wasn’t enough equipment for all of us and they fished as much as we did. I wouldn’t recommend for those looking to fish- but if you want a leisurely day on the water- it’s great.
Absolutely beautiful boat and such a comfortable way to fish. Plenty of room to move around. Restroom was appreciated. Captain was knowledgeable and worked hard to get us fish. Good catch given the conditions. Caught about 15-20 fish including two sharks. 6 keepers.

Captain Derick was out standing. Found fish helped us catch them, and cleaned them. Took our fish to lazy day and ate them for lunch. A real sea to table experience.
