Crack of Dawn Charters
If you’re ready to discover fishing in Conneaut, we’ve got you covered with Crack of Dawn Charters.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Walleye, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll.
Your excursion begins aboard a 30’ Trojan sportfishing boat that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Crack of Dawn Charters!
