Location and parking were super easy and hassle-free. We started the trip by catching plenty of mackerel for bait. Despite a recent storm making striped bass harder to find, Captain Matt went above and beyond, even extending our trip. We caught multiple keeper striped bass, and he cleaned the fish for us. The boat and bathrooms were spotless. Overall, a 10/10 experience—would definitely book again and highly recommend Slack Tide Chart
been on a lot of charters, Matt keeps his boat immaculate. started the day on the mackerel right off the bat. only problem we had was finding fish small enough to keep.. which is a problem ill happily accept every time out.
Captain Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although the bite was slow he worked hard to put us on the fish and was able to land a couple striped bass.
Matt has a spotless boat that is almost new and he keeps it in great shape. The stripers have been really slow this August, but Matt worked really hard to coax them to hit, we landed one nice 33” and missed some other swirls. He worked overtime to get results, great captain.
Captain Matt & the entire Slacktide crew are true professionals. Communication from booking onward was great! We started the day off quickly as his state of the art boat was able to get us to the deep sea fishing area in only about 25 min! In comparison, some other charters leaving the dock at the same time us arrived 30+ min after … this definitely made a huge difference as we were already baited by the time the other boats arrived and actually accidentally snagged a 200lb thresher shark within first 15 min of dropping our tuna lines! On other charters we have been on there was a lot of sit around and wait, on the slacktide captain Matt kept us entertained with catching bait throughout. When it was time for a rest the boat is so comfortable and actually can convert to a bed to lay down for a little ! This was amazing for a long day out on the water. There’s plenty of storage and cooler space as well ! On the way back we caught some solid size haddock that the captain filleted and packaged for us to take home - this was awesome !! There’s no better charter in Boston area than the Slacktide!!
