If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Edgewater Charters. Captain Ryan is a 30-year local to Dunedin, so he has the upper hand on these other guys. With him at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook, Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Grunt, and whatever else takes the bait. For these species, you’re likely to be using light spinning tackle, easy to use for any level of angler.
Your day begins aboard a 23’ Custom center console with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Ryan has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included!
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. A cooler with ice will be provided.

The best deep sea fishing experience!

We have tried other fishing guides in other areas for deep sea fishing, and Ryan was the absolute best guide we have ever hehad. He was patient and very kind and considerate and helped us catch saltwater trout and sharks and other fish. It really was the best experience that we have ever had. We will definitely book another excursion with him in the future! Thank you Ryan for making our family trip to Palm Harbor absolutely the best!!

Took our first fishing charter in Clearwater after 20 years of visiting the area. We should have booked with Edgewater Charters much sooner! Capt Ryan is an experienced fisherman and charter captain who helped us succeed in catching sea trout, grunt, mackerel, ladyfish, jack and a huge nurse shark. He was kind, patient, funny and knowledgeable. He also helped us discover the other local wildlife….we saw manatees, stingrays and dolphins! We plan to book another trip with Captain Ryan during our next Clearwater trip!

Captain ryan met us first thing in the morning at the boat launch close to our condo our group of 4 consisting of me my wife and our 8 and 5 year old ! Got us right out onto some trout inshore hearing that offshore was a little rough from another captain then the fishing slowed so we tried a few other places and ended up going offshore it was a little choppy but man did he put us right on the fish and made sure everyone was catching something will definitely be booking with him again in the future !!

Had a great charter. We caught plenty of Seatrout and some great Redfish.. Slow bite at first, but soon put us on the fish. Started with Seatrout and caught enough for dinner. Then moved to mangroves and caught some beautiful Redfish. Finished off fishing near the bridge and caught and released a nice gag grouper and had several others on the line. Overall, easy going and knowledgeable guide, nice clean well maintained boat, and flexible scheduling. Highly recommend.

Our fishing trip was fun for all 5 of us on the trip. Ages 8-38. Catching all those fish made my girls like fishing again, and catching the 3 sharks was amazing! And thank you for using your phone for fish pictures and sending them to us free of charge, since mine overheated all of my florida trip :)
