With Captain Mat DiGiovanna (IGFA Certified Captain) at the helm, you’ll benefit from 30+ years of fishing knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Scup (Porgy), Black Seabass, Bonito, Little Tunny (False Albacore), and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! During the trip you might be spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Mathew also offers fly fishing.
Capt. Mathew welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also remember to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Mathew operates a 22’ Mako center console with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included (depending on trip).
Just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
*START TIMES ON TRIPS ARE ADJUSTED BY CAPTAIN DUE TO TIDES, WEATHER, and WHEN THE FISH ARE BITING! BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK WITH MAT.

Fantastic Morning with Captain Mathew!
Set out looking for blackfish in the morning with some catches. When things got quiet, the Captain took us hunting for bluefish. Found a school of Bunker and the rest was incredible. We all caught blues and had a great day. Will definitely repeat!
