In early May we start fishing the Knik River for King Salmon. The Knik River is the only river in Alaska’s Matanuska Valley that allows the use of Salmon eggs for bait during King Salmon season. We meet at multiple locations based on fishing conditions & regulations. From 35 min - 2 hours north of Anchorage. Sockeye Salmon start arriving the first week of July followed by the Silver Salmon.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard!  You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Sea Ark Aluminum fishing skiff with space for 6 passengers. No need to bring any equipment. Each fishing charter comes fully equipped with everything you need. So the only thing you’ll have to bring is your fishing license (a King Salmon stamp is also needed when fishing through mid-July), food & drink. Also, filleting your fish is included and your guide will put it in bags for you to take home or to a processor for packaging and shipping. 

We suggest bringing sunscreen, a camera, a hat, sunglasses, drinks, and food.
