5 Star Fishing 

Make an adventure out of your next trip in Steinhatchee and go fishing with 5 Star Fishing. Your guide for the day is Captain Drew, which means you’ll tap into years of knowledge and experience.

Speckled Trout, Redfish, Cobia, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, Tripletail, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. On the day of your trip you’re likely to drift using light or heavy tackle.

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea to stay fueled throughout your trip!

You’ll be welcome aboard a 24’ Carolina Skiff that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Drew will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
