I am your Guide, Matt Beggs, I hope to provide you with the best fishing experience possible using my 30 years of Bass Fishing and 20 years of Pro Tournament Fishing, including multiple wins, as Co-Angler.
These waters are known for Largemouth Bass with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing. I provide rod and reels for you.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 21’ Ranger Z521 Bass boat with space for 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Water and Gatorade will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. I’m a family man, so kids are always welcome!

matt was a terrific guide. he was cery helpful, patient, knowlegable, friendly, and fun. He knows where to find fish. we asked specifically for bass and we caught about 30. biggest was 6 lbs 7 oz. my eleven year old son and i had a blast! i strongly recommend bookings with Matthrw Beggs! ill definitely be a repeat customer.

Captain Matt was warm, welcoming, professional, helpful, and tried his best to get us on fish. We went at the least ideal time of the year (August) and still managed to catch a couple beautiful bass. We’d like to try it again in Oct/Nov when the water isn’t so hot. Would definitely recommend.

My dad and I had the perfect day with Captain Matt. He was a very respectful man that was very knowledgeable on lake Conroe for Large Mouth Bass fishing. I cannot recommend him enough we 100% will be booking with him again when we come back to Texas. As a group we caught about 30 Large mouth with our top 5 fish being a total bag of 25 pounds. You will not find a better more knowledgeable and more reasonable guide than Captain Matt.
