My dad and I had the perfect day with Captain Matt. He was a very respectful man that was very knowledgeable on lake Conroe for Large Mouth Bass fishing. I cannot recommend him enough we 100% will be booking with him again when we come back to Texas. As a group we caught about 30 Large mouth with our top 5 fish being a total bag of 25 pounds. You will not find a better more knowledgeable and more reasonable guide than Captain Matt.

Given it was August in Texas. It was hot. At the same time there was a bass tournament on the lake. The tournament 1st place won with a 9lb bag. The 1st hour we fished we had a 7lb bag. Got broke off on a 5.5 lber. Captain Matt had Gatorade and Water cold and at the ready. He had plenty of rods and reels for my son and I. He was super patient with my son and put him on the fish. Captain Matt is the best! I booked a trip for my brothers. They had never been bass fishing in Texas. Captain Matt spoiled them with a great experience and lots of fish. They joked that they would be back to Texas, not to visit me but to go fishing with Captain Matt!

Matt was great My daughter and I had a great time. Didn’t feel like a guided trip, felt like I was fishing with a buddy in his secret spot!
