Tahoe Sportfishing
Looking to go fishing in South Lake Tahoe? Then Tahoe Sportfishing has a trip with your name on it!
Mackinaw Lake Trout, Kokanee Salmon (Jul-Sep), Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout, and more inhabit these waters, depending on conditions. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, and mooching.
Your excursion begins aboard one of our 6 boats in our fishing fleet which can carry up to 8 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board for groups of 5 or more to help your trip run smoothly. A 15–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to have a CA or NV fishing license for everyone in your group. You can purchase a CA day or annual license at our fishing office at check in.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. We offer water on all our trips and coffee for our morning trips. You are welcome to bring any additional food and beverages but all we ask is NO BANNANA’s.
