Fish Trap Outfitters LLC is currently accepting trips on Stampede Reservoir in truckee until the snow hits, then we will be primarily fishing Folsom Lake until memorial day 2027 when Donner lake opens back up.
Brown Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat trout and landlocked King salmonan are in the cards, depending on the time of year. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll using light tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your fishing machine for the day is an 18½ft Striper Seaswirl that can accommodate parties of 4 adults. It comes with downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is
allowed in moderation.

Connor was amazing start to end. couldnt have asked for a better day out on the water with an amazing guide who knew the lake like the back of his hand. Great stories and conversation and you could tell he wanted us to catch fish as much as we did. 11/10 experience. would highly recommend this guide to anyone visiting the area!
we went out on the lake at 5:30 am and within a few minutes caught a 3lb rainbow after a few hours completely limited out on Kokanee ended the trip with a 3lb Mackinaw.Despite cold and windy condition captain connor made the trip beyond pleasurable would highly recommend
First guided fishing trip ever & we were extremely satisfied! Connor was super chill, laid back & knowledgable! He was easy to talk to and made the afternoon extremely fun! He didn’t feel like a Host Captain, but more like someone we actually knew. I’d highly recommend booking a trip with him!
It was the first time fishing for Kokanee for myself and my bro, and we limited plus got a nice lake trout. It was great day to be on the water with a local guide who could give us tips on some of our planned fishing destinations for the rest of the week. We'll be booking with Conner again!
we caught 15 Kokenee salmon. had the best time ever! conner was great!!! knew how to find and catch the fiah!!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

How you can pay
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
