With a lifetime of experience fishing Casco Bay from the Royal River to the Fore River and the Back Bay, Capt. Aaron Landry offers anglers a full tour of tributaries, flats and beaches, as well as the rocky shores of Cape Elizabeth and the many islands located off Portland.
Anglers can expect a highly visual experience fishing in shallow water, often spotting the fish before casting. From years of angling in the waters of Casco Bay, Capt. Aaron has a deep knowledge of the Striped Bass population that migrates into the Gulf of Maine each year.
Capt. Aaron tailors the trip around anglers' desires as well as weather, tide schedules, and migration status of fish. Charters will primarily focus on Striped Bass. Other species can be targeted upon request. Anglers are provided rods, reels, and tackle for all fishing situations.
The boat will be stocked with a cooler of ice, Gatorade, and water and licenses are included.

2 Hour Family Fishing Trip on August 4, 2026 • 6 adults • 2 childrenCaptain Aaron was great! He took time and talked to our 4 and seven year olds making them have a great time. He was very knowledgeable of the area and knew where the fish were. We caught Cod. Pollack, Mackerel and another type I don’t remember the name. He narrated the whole trip explaining the area around Portland Harbor and the Portland Head Lighthouse. When our time was up he took extra time to show us seal that we said we were interested in seeing. It was a great day for our family of six and we highly recommend Rock and Sand Charters with Captain Aaron.

Despite both of us being relative beginners to striper fishing, with Aaron’s guidance we were each able to catch multiple fish. Captain Aaron showed us many good spots, and gave us pointers where needed without being overbearing. My husband uses a fly rod and I use a spin reel, and Aaron was able to help each of us with the best techniques for both. I highly recommend this charter service!

It was fun for sure despite one down and out with the rolling waves. We never had fished for bait fish so that was new to us. Only thing is we wish there was bait on board so we could have fished for stripper longer. We are an expercied fihsing crew and sometimes you are on them and sometimes not. We higly recommend!
Our experience was off the charts. Grandsons caught tons of fish!! Captain Aaron was great with the boys - very patient , positive and knowledgeable. We will definitly book again!!!
