North East Salt Water 

We reached out to Captain Joe to plan for our anniversary trip and were pleasantly surprised with quick, and responsive communication. Day before trip he provided us with clear directions to his docking area where we were greeted with our choice of prepared tea or coffee before setting off to the bay. Captain Joe educated us of all the local fish species and many methods to have a sucessful day on our way out. So knowledgeable and has a way of making the day interesting for anyone! We immediately were put on to Mackrel, Atlantic Cod, skulcan, and many other species! With Captain Joes help and knowledge we were hauling up Lobster pots and learning how to properly measure and identify them. After an amazing day on the water, Captain Joe treated us with a Lobster caught on the trip! They were delicious. He truly went above and beyond and made it such an amazing trip for us! Highly recomend for any new or even the most experienced of anglers. Captain Joe kept the charter interesting the whole day with his vast knowledge and great personality. Would be an amazing time for kids as well!

We had so much fun, and learned a lot about how the North Atlantic marine ecosystem works. It would have been worth the trip for the fishing OR the education, but to get both was something special. Thanks Captain Joe!

We booked this charter fishing trip with Captain Joe with great expectations. He met and exceeded our expectations for a day of fun, catching some fish, and enjoying being off the coast of Maine. We caught a boatload of fish, visited seals and enjoyed getting to know about our Captain. It was a birthday gift to Rye and he had a blast! We’ll be back for Striper fishing soon! Today was a day I’ll never forget! I have to start by saying Captain Joe is very punctual and his response time to any messages I sent him was A++ to say the least! Also I noticed the weather on the day we booked wasn’t as great as the day before was going to be and asked if we could switch days as it was open and available and he made that happen quickly and easily. The day on the water was great for my 81 year old grandfather, dad and myself. Captain Joe made it very comfortable on the boat and was very attentive to each of us taking the fish off the hooks quickly and also casting the live baited lines back out there for us over and over! We had to of caught over 50-60 mackerel which are a blast on the mackerel trees, 4-6 cod, 6-8 pollock, 3 Cunner, 1 Stripper and also came home with 3 lobsters!! The day flew by and my grandfather and father both looked at me and said they had a great time and was impressed with how great Captain Joe helped them today! Whenever I go out on a charter again in the future it will always be with Captain Joe not one thing bad to say about today!! Thank you again for all you did for us Captain Joe you’re amazing at what you do!

Captain Joe is a very experienced and knowledgable captain, we had a great time fishing for striper. We first went to catch mackerel for bait. During the trip, Captain Joe was informative and we learned much about the habits and behavior of fish. We caught a variety of sizes including a slot sized one, the biggest striper being a 37 inch fish that Claire, our second grader, fought and reeled in. Captain Joe’s striper charter is the perfect choice for those interested striper fishing, even more so for younger anglers. This trip was 10/10, we made some lasting memories.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with this fishing charter! From start to finish, everything was seamless and fun. We had a wonderful experience. We were expecting some dicy weather and he communicated we with prior to make sure we were comfortable. He was very personable with our kids. We cought fish and got to pull up lobster traps. We would definitely recommend Captain Joe.

Captain Joe is professional, friendly, patient, and skilled. He was great with my two teenagers and got us on to lots of fish, including mackerel, cod, pollock, and striped bass. The highlight was the massive 43.5” striper for my husband! I would recommend Captain Joe to anyone looking for a great Maine saltwater fishing experience and I would definitely book with him again if we return to the area.

The morning started with tons of action, catching the bait for our fishing adventure. Cod, mackerel, pollac and cunner filled the live well in no time. The scenic landscape boasted seals, 🦭 osprey and a golden eagle. Later the lobster 🦞 traps provided a keeper as well as expert local conservation details by Captain Joe.
