  perfect from beginning to end

  6 Hour Trip on July 11, 2026 • 3 adults

  aside from catching 28 fish in less than 6 hours, everything was perfect. Communication from the booking and arrangements for the day, wonderful and professional Captn Mike who was extremely experienced, attentive and professional and friendly. He’s been out the day before to scout out fishing areas and live bait to ensure a super fishing experience. The boat was clean and extremely comfortable and shaded. Went to several fishing spots, including Hoover Dam and even had a dip in the lake to cool down. When we got back to the marina a coast guard officer was there and told us we picked one of the best and safest trips out onto the lake. Cannot recommend Captn Mike enough and I’m sure his son Captn Cody is also terrific, very talented fisherman and lovely family run operation - great experience for my teen sons and me. Also parking very easy near the dock.

  GREAT Guide Service!

  Captain Cody wasn't able to guide but his dad, Captain Mike stepped in. Captain Mike is such a wonderful person! He is super knowledgeable of the lake. The bite was slow in the morning but then again it was a very cold February morning. We were able to land two stripers. The bite got cold. Captain Mike changed the fishing style a few times before he found and netted some shads. After that...It was game over the stripers. We ended up catching 40 stripers in all. Captain Mike is THE MAN! Thank you for a wonderful outing. Would love to book some more trips in the future.

  14 Fish & an Unforgettable Day with Captain Cody! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  Captain Cody was great—very knowledgeable about fishing Lake Mead and extremely patient with our youngest. We caught 14 fish during the trip! Every time the fish stopped biting, Captain Cody knew exactly where to take us next. At each new spot, someone in our family caught a fish within the first five minutes. We highly recommend Captain Cody and will definitely be back!

  Steckel Fishing is the best fishing guide for Lake Mead. This is a father and son team with many years of experience with top notch boats and equipment. Excellent communication and very responsive. You will most likely get tired from pulling in so many fish. Be sure to bring a cooler and ice for the fish. We will definitely be booking more trips with Cody and his father.

  Fishing was fair as the windy weather played a big part. We did catch 6 which was way below our previous trip of 42. Capt Cody was very patient and tried to put us on fish however again weather played big role. Will definitely try again in the future and highly recommend Steckel fishing to guide you on your next fishing adventure
