This was my son and I’s first off shore fishing experience. The boat, equipment and amenities were good, there was nothing more we thought of that we needed to enjoy. The overall experience was fantastic! Captain put us on some good fishing spots and the whole boat caught a lot of fish. Dennis, co-captain and guide, was great! His personality and demeanor is perfect for that part and with that crew and boat! Joe, Connor, TJ and Zack were the shipmates and were awesome! Zack was working our part of the boat and at the start of the trip I asked in conversation how long he had been with the boat. It was his second day! However, you would have never known it was, Zack was great! Very friendly and knew his stuff and worked very hard making sure we and everyone around us had all we needed the whole trip. As did all 3 of the other mates that I witnessed. After experiencing this trip, going off shore fishing will now be a “MUST” on our family beach vacations and we will not even think about going anywhere else but Pelican Adventures for it! Thanks again to Pelican and the crew of the Vera Marie for making the trip a memorable one!

In Destin celebrating a 6 year wedding anniversary! This trip was fun, relaxing and economical. I was a little Leary at first because of the amount of people on the ship but was quickly put to ease with the captain and crew and how they worked efficiently. I’ll definitely be back again!

Captain kept us on the Fish the entire trip. Retro kept the mood great and the energy levels high. All the crew were eager to help and happy to answer questions. Dennis was on top of everything and the younger guy kept right up with him. They had a new deckhand who although they said was green he to helped everyone make the day run smooth. Not only do I recommend, I can say with certainty I’ll be back as well!!!

From check in to fish cleaning the whole staff and captain were great. We caught a lot of fish and they will clean them however you want. Deck hands are friendly, fast & efficient. We had a great a trip and will 100% return next visit to Destin.

I could not make the trip on time due to extreme traffic conditions. I did notify the Capt Mike to see if I could change the date. This was denied due to it   being only 2 hrs before the trip was to began and the 72 hour nonrefundable cancel policy. I have to blame myself for missing the trip because I should have done some traffic research and left earlier. I gave this trip a 5 star rating because It probably would have been nice for me and my 7 yr old son. I will just have to book again later and make sure I get there on time.
