If you’re ready to go fishing in Quinlan, book a trip with Big Dawgs Guide Service. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Richard is prepared to put you on fish.
White Bass, Catfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 22’ Skeeter center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Richard will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
The Captain will clean and bag all fish that is caught and after the fishing trip as he is cleaning the fish you can go to the Quack Shack. They have awesome hamburgers, BLTs, great food.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
