Spend the day with Chica Loca Sportfishing and let them show you what makes the fishing in Isla Mujeres so memorable! Captain Rogelio will be your guide, which means you’ll tap into years of professional experience.
You’re likely to go after Sailfish,White Marlin, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Bonito, Red Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Great Barracuda, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more, depending on when you go. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Chica Loca Sportfishing welcomes kids aboard, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Rogelio will have some on board!
You’ll be fishing aboard a Bertram 35 Sport Fisherman with capacity for 8 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
All you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
Now, time to hit the water with Chica Loca Sportfishing!
