Running angling trips out of Isla Mujeres, Isla Girl – Sport Fishing invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Diego Armando will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in bottom fishing, trolling, handline, and spinning, all to get you on that bite. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Sailfish, Dolphin, Barracuda, Marlin, Amberjack, and Bonito, depending on the season and conditions on the day.
You'll be fishing from a 36' Hatteras boat with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet, an AC, an ice box, and a fighting chair.
When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.
The catch you keep will be shared with the crew following the trip, depending on the species. Please get in touch with the captain if you have any questions.
Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the trip. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated.
There will be complimentary snacks, drinks, and lunch aboard for your convenience during the trip, but feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks if you prefer.

The boat was immaculate and the gear was new and well maintained. The captain and crew worked their tails off the entire trip. The fishing was stellar as Captain and crew put us on mahi, bonito, barracuda and multiple sail fish ! We had an amazing trip. 4 Hour Trip – Offshore on March 26, 2025 • 4 adults • 1 childWe went out for a four hour offshore trip. Pretty heavy waves but the captain and crew put us on some bonito right away. We hooked into and landed a nice sailfish shortly after a few bonitos. The captain and crew were great even though we had to cut our trip short due to sickness by one of our members. They were very understanding and brought us back and cleaned our bonito for us. Would definitely book with Isla Girl again and make sure our members were prepared for bigger seas!

Family Fishing Trip – Inshore on April 22, 2024 • 4 adultsBy our request captain Diego took us out a little further to see if we could catch something nice. Did a little bottom fishing but nothing was biting. So they put out the big bait and started trolling the deep sea. When almost all hope was lost we landed a huge 38 pound Wahoo! Soon after that we hooked another Wahoo and a giant Bonita that fought harder than the Wahoo. Was a fantastic trip and many thanks to Captain Diego and Osvaldo for such an amazing trip. The boat was perfect with a huge air conditioned cabin and all the amenities. Captain also provided water, soda, beer, and lunch.

8 Hour Trip – Offshore on January 13, 2025 • 2 adultsGot to the fishing grounds, crew put out gear and we had 4 rods go off in minutes. 4 good size tuna in the box. Got the gear back out and another one on. Gear out again and a double. Ended 1/2 day with 7 tuna, one king mackerel. Great crew, worked really hard, know what they are doing. Highly recommend Isla girl charters.

Unfortunately it's called fishing and not catching. The captain and crew did all they could. Moved several times, changed baits and speeds but nothing. Not their fault. Just one of those days. Find out later that few to no boats were catching. Had a great time and the boat and crew were top notch.

We went on a three hour barracuda trip. The weather was perfect, the crew and Captain were great. I would highly recommend this, and im doing another trip next time down.

Isla Girl is a classic Hatteras boat of great recognition in the world of fishing, our boat was rebuilt and updated in 2020 with 2 Cummins QSB series machines of 380 horsepower each. It was also equipped with a new 7-kilowatt generator and a new air conditioning system, it has Furuno GPS satellite equipment, Furuno radar, a Fish Finder, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a refrigerator for our clients' catch. We have all the safety regulations and equipment according to the Coast Guard.
