On this trip with OVERKILL ADVENTURES, you'll be aboard a massive 33’ Ocean Master center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, an RV toilet, radar, navigation, auto-pilot and everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but we will generally stop and catch some on the way out.
These waters are known for Amber Jack, King Mackerel, Triggerfish, Great Barracuda, Blackfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Swordfish, Blue Marlin, Mahi, Wahoo and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. On these trips, you can expect to freeline live bait, throw artificial lures, troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
WE OFFER 4-8 HOUR TRIPS TO THE REEFS AND WRECKS AND 12 HOUR TRIPS TO THE OIL RIGS. Keep in mind that travel time from the dock is included in the total charter time.
4 hour trips are nearshore.
6 hour trips are offshore with time to troll for trophy fish as well as bottom drop for reef species.
8 hour trips are for the ones that want to get it done!
12 hour trips to the oil rigs, 100 miles offshore for the serious angler!
Kids are welcome aboard! Children 6 and under must wear life vests, so let us know their ages prior and we will have the appropriate sizes available. Customers are encouraged to bring plenty of drinks, food and snacks. Bring a small cooler, or cooler bag. We have plenty of ice on board.
Some are run with the help of a First Mate. A 15–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. Fuel is included.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time!

Captain Dave put us on the fish. He was patient as we are bass fishers and are use to hook setting our fish. We caught 7 different species of fish today. I am not sure you had more fun the Captain or us.Overall wonderful experience and learned how to fish around the dolphins. I would hands down recommend Captain Dave for your next fishing adventure. I hope to be able to return next year for another trip. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything Dave!!!
First off, David was AMAZING! Before even booking, he responded quickly and answered all questions that I had. Once booked, he still responded quickly with honesty about what to expect and how he was watching the weather for us since it was set to storm(this in itself made me feel comfy and like I made a great choice). Once we arrived, the weather cleared and was perfect and I could quickly tell how knowledgeable he is about fishing! He was patient with my teenage son and took us to several spots so that my son could catch specifically what he was looking for. Our highlight was catching a MASSIVE red snapper and Amberjack which he got pretty cool pics of which made it totally worth it! David fileted our haul and recommended the best local spots for our ‘catch and cook’ which was delicious ! We definitely will be back again!!!

The boat was very comfortable even in higher seas; we stayed dry. Attentive: he knew just the right time and level of care with my wife and I. It was our first offshore experience. Kept us with the poles in the water! We caught a lot of fish. We did the 6-hour shipwrecks and reefs. Captain David Plants is extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot. There were other boats in the area not catching, but we were. He knows the spots!! I'm getting my brothers together so we can do the tuna run soon with Captain David.
Cap. David was great! We had a great time and walk away with a bag stuffed with mingo filets. Cap showed great patience with our two boys, one of which would “birds nets”on every other drop. Captain would crack a joke and fix it with out skipping a beat. His equipment, boat and knowledge were awesome. We will call again. Thanks
We were on fish as soon as we got to the first spot. Captain David put us on Snapper and then we went and got some good looking amberjack.He really tried accomplishing getting any fish you asked him I asked for more of a fight than some of my family. He put me on two amberjack that worked for 15 minutes a piece. Then he wasn’t satisfied with us not having completely full cooler so he went trolling with us and got us another fish before we went back instead of just going back to make sure we didn’t bust time. I would fish with him again any time. I can’t wait to do a tuna trip to the oil rigs in the future, absolutely worth every penny. He also has great recommendations on food to cook up the meals you catch.
