Captain Mike put us on so many fish. Had both of my boys with me one of whom had never been out on the ocean before. Plenty of fish. At least 10+ each and several different varieties. Do yourself a favor and call these guys if you want a quality guide and a quality trip. Plenty of amateurs out there dropping on top of snapper but if you want quality, quantity and an all around good time, ask for Captain Mike. This was my 11th year out in Pensacola and honestly speaking, I don’t think I’ve ever caught the amount of fish I did today on any other guide service. Mike had us laughing, catching fish and kept us safe. Thanks for showing us such a good time

My family and I had an absolutely amazing time on a recent charter fishing trip in Pensacola, Florida, and I can honestly say it was one of the best outdoor experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was top-notch — from the professionalism of the captain and crew to the incredible fishing action out on the Gulf.
The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with quality gear. Our captain was not only experienced and knowledgeable about the local waters, but also friendly and eager to help everyone get the most out of the trip. Whether it was finding the best fishing spots, helping with bait and rigging, or offering tips to land the big ones, they went above and beyond.
We caught a great variety of fish, including red snapper, grouper, and even a few amber jacks. The thrill of reeling in those strong Gulf fighters with the sun rising over the water is something I won’t forget anytime soon. The crew made it even better by handling everything from baiting hooks to cleaning our catch — all we had to do was relax and enjoy the ride.
The views alone were worth the trip — dolphins, seabirds, and that beautiful emerald coastline made for a perfect backdrop to an already incredible day.
If you’re ever in Pensacola and looking for an authentic, fun, and productive day on the water, I highly recommend booking a charter fishing trip. It’s a great way to connect with nature, learn a few tricks, and maybe even bring home dinner

Captain David with Overkill Adventures is awesome and helped us have the best time! We had to wait out some storms during our original booking time, but ended up getting to go a little bit later than originally scheduled, and caught lots of fish that afternoon! We so appreciated Captain David and how communicative and how willing he was to get us some fish! He was a great fishing captain and very enjoyable to visit with. 10/10 would go with him again and would recommend him to anyone!

I enjoyed an overcast summer morning in Pensacola Bay with Captain Mike.  I said I’d like to catch 5 species of fish, and I did even better: 6.  With Mike taking me where the fish were biting, I caught redfish, black drum, speckled trout, mangrove snappers, southern flounder, and ladyfish.  I only return where the fishing was great the first time.  I’m already planning to go back next year.  I wholeheartedly endorse Captain Mike.

This was a great trip out! We opted for the 6 hour trip which gave us plenty of time to hit a few different spots and never felt rushed. David and his crew, RT, were absolute professionals, super knowledgeable, and genuinely great guys. He was super responsive before the trip to any questions I had, plus timely and prepared when we arrived. The boat and equipment was top notch with a very comfortable and smooth ride, out and back, and zero rod/reel/tackle failures.

I WILL be booking again when Amberjacks are in season and likely a tuna trip thereafter.
