7 Hour Trip – Saint Joe River on June 30, 2026 • 2 adultsOriginally booked Originator 2 on the river for my 14 year old son and myself, it was a little cheaper, and we have other charters planned for later in the summer and fall. Received a phone call the afternoon before and was told the river fishing was bad, it was too hot, and wouldn’t be worth our time. Tentatively i decided to upgrade to the lake fishing and i couldn’t have been more happy with the decision. The 3:30 wake up call wasn’t amazing but the fishing was great. We had 2 fish in the boat before sunrise. The captain knew where to find the fish, and we didn’t have to spend a hour driving far out into the lake to find them. The first mate was very helpful, and kept good conversation with my son. Both of them worked hard to stay on the fish and land them. We were on fish most of the morning, only caught 6 but we had 15 on. The boat was great; large (which helped with the waves), bathroom was clean, the back was large enough for all 4 of us to work at the same time. The dock was easy to find and also clean. If we come back to these parts i will 100% be booking here again. We grilled some of the catch at home for dinner, and will be taking the rest back to Ohio for the 4th of July celebration.

7 Hour Trip – Saint Joe River on August 11, 2026 • 2 adultsJerry was a great Captain, he made sure our group waited out a storm to ensure we were safe to go, and once the storm passed he took us out and put us on tons of fish. We were able to hook into over 20 fish, all different Salmon/Trout species. Equipment on the boat was top notch and very organized and taken care of. Jerry keeps his charter trip to your group only and makes sure you have an enjoyable experience. I would reccomend this Charter to anyone.

However, Captain Jerry worked extremely hard to try and get us on fish. He maintains his equipment well, teaches as he goes and will go the extra mile to make the trip worthwhile.

7 Hour Trip – Saint Joe River on November 25, 2022Wonderful experience with the best river boat captain in the St. Joseph area. Captain Jerry knows how to put you on the fish, and I will continue to fish with him every time I want to fish the St. Joseph River. I also recommend him if you wish to fish Lake Michigan. His 36 ft. Tiara Boat makes for a comfortable cruise, and he will send you home with plenty of fish.

The Capt was great, Great sense of humor,gave us lots of history of the area. The boat was warm and comfy, the fishing equipment was great, BUT mother nature and the fish gods were against us, Not the captains fault he tried to put us on the fish but they did not want to be caught that day, but not for lack of trying on his part.. We will definitively book with him again. but will do summer when its warmer !
