Species like Red Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Gray Triggerfish, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Sailfish, Wahoo, Bonito, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the season. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with Kraken Reels are open to the whole family, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
Capt. Jonathan operates a 50' Chris-Craft sportfishing vessel with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Kraken Reels was by far the best experience we’ve ever had on a charter!!!! My 15 year old daughter was even in heaven catching a 20+ pound tuna! All the reef fishing for the younger boys was absolutely perfect and kept them so busy! And talk about service, the guys were immediately responsive even prior to charter but on board were so busy making sure each and every rod was perfectly setup for us! Cannot recommend enough! Thank you so much, Guys!!!

Captain Jon and first mate Ron were great! Went fishing with my wife and father-in-law for his 82d birthday. Ron handled all the tackle, bait, and fish like a pro. He helped my father-in-law around the deck and kept him catching fish. Jon was a pleasure to work with and knows the best spots to fish.
