Stevens Fishing Charters
Hampton has a fish with your name on it, so let Stevens Fishing Charters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Leiland can tell you all about them.
You're likely to go after Whiting, Bluefish, Bluefin Tuna, Atlantic Mackerel, Pollock, Striped Bass, Lingcod, Haddock, Cod, Porbeagle Shark, Mako Shark, and more, depending on the time of year. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Stevens Fishing Charters are open to the whole family, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Capt. Leiland welcomes you aboard a 35' JC Downeast that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain was up front about the slow bite. We steamed outof the harbor and he put us on a huge ball of mackerel. We caught so many the mate could barley keep up (but did). Then we trolled down by plumb island and back up the coast. Gorgeous day striper bite was very slow didn't see any other boats hooking up. Great relaxing day hanging out with family. Would highly recommend cant wait to go again!

Thank You so much Peter. You guys were great Nick also thanks you for the generous tip.
Caught too many Mackerel to count! One with a squid was a bonus. Then we caught about 8 or 9 BIG Strippers. Only one was small enough to keep but that was plenty for us. Captain Lee is such a kind and knowledgeable seasoned fisherman. Maddox was entertaining. This will be a memorable experience for everyone but especially my 12 year old grandson:)
We had a good day at sea! Captain Lee told us before the trip the fish migrated north but we would try to catch something. We didnt catch any bass or bluefish but we caught a bunch of makerel

ThankYou very much Steve, You have a great bunch of guys. Also Mike thanks you for your very generous tip.
Was a great trip, plenty of mackerel, but stripers weren't biting this morning. Captain Lee and Maddox were fun and Ruby Jean is a great boat to fish from.

Hi Kevin, Thank You for your generous tip. You guys were great. I just wished the strippers were there today.

Captain Leland and his first mate Selena were amazing. We had the best time. We had kind of a rainy day in the morning and Captain Leland let us change our time at the last minute which was so kind of him. We caught two fish, and most importantly, my father had a great time since it was a Father's Day outing.

Thank You Lara for the kind response!!!

I started fishing Tuna with my dad in the '60s. then I bought several boats and started fishing commercially for 30 plus years. Lobster fished for 10 and now I am back running charters.
