The fish in these waters include Tarpon, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Pompano, Flounder, Red Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, Sheepshead, Gag Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Red Snapper, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Dalton also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
You can keep some of the fish you catch, assuming regulations allow it. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home to eat. How's that for fresh seafood? Reel Adventures welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own.
You'll be welcome aboard a 22' bay boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Dalton will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.

My 10 year old son and I had a great time with Dalton on a 2 hour fishing tour in July 2023.
Dalton got us into fish very quickly (trolling) we caught blue fish, lady fish, and even a barracuda. We caught fish consistently across the trip, though you should not expect that as I’ve been out with guides several times and didn’t catch a thing.
Dalton was great with my son and provided patient and clear instructions. He was also knowledgeable about the fish and the area and is generally a good guy to go out on a boat with.
Thank you for the great memories Dalton, if we’re ever back, we won’t hesitate to book another trip!

Best Vacation in past 13 years!

We showed up to dock and Captain took care of everything else. Caught fish, saw dolphins, took pictures, ate snacks, and I didn’t have to stress or micro manage. As a mother of two boys, this was a dream come true. Captain was laid back and very knowledgeable. My 6 year old was able to ask questions and Captain engaged and intrigued. My 13 year old was able to catch at his own pace. When we need help, Captain talked us through steps to get the big ones in the boat. He even cleaned the fish and instructed me how to care for fillets on 10 hour ride home. Hands down the best vacation we’ve shared in 13 years. I choose to stay inshore due to little one and noon time slot, as we choose this activity days before. Next time I’ll book with THIS CAPTIN for 6 AM or 8 AM slot. I can avoid mid day heat. Over all…this is a must do!!!!! You will enjoy every second.
Not to other moms. Do not over pack. I had a Bogg bag with sunscreen, 1 towel I used to cover 6 year up when he got to much sun, sunglasses, hats for all, zip lock bag for phone to keep dry, and special aback got my picky eater. CAPTIN had cokes and chips. I prepaid and left all money and id in car. LESS is MORE. Don’t need to worry about stuff getting wet or in way.

Amazing Trip

We did the beginners trips for my two teenage girls. A storm blew up so he delayed our trip for an hour instead of canceling. We were gracious for that cause we were heading home the next morning. Kids caught 10-12 fish, 3 different species. The Air Force Base was practicing an air show while we were out. He told his about area and what all was in the waters. Captain Dalton was super nice and knowledgeable. To top it off we saw the most amazing sunset which made the trip awesome for my wife as well. We would highly recommend. I wish we would have booked earlier in the week so I can of went on a more advanced trip for myself with Captain Dalton. Was well worth it

Beginner trip - exceeded our expectations

Capt. Bryant was such a wonderful host.
Booking went smooth with great communication about our trip.
It was my sons first fishing trip in the ocean. We had everything we needed provided by Captain Bryant. He was ready to go as soon as we arrived! He was very engaging and patient with us. He helped us unhook our fish and explained what each type was. We even stayed out till our time was up. We fished for almost the entire 2 hours.
I highly recommend Reel Adventures if you are looking for a fun fishing trip in the Fort Walton Beach area with a great Captain.
The best part of the trip was seeing the pod of dolphins who wanted to share the fish we caught. They stayed with us for quite a while. It was so awesome.
We will definitely go on another fishing trip with Captain Bryant with Reel Adventures when we return.
