Excited to cast a line in Rockport? Live Oak Outfitters is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Cody can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Drum, Sheepshead, Spotted Seatrout, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Redfish, and plenty more. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Live Oak Outfitters are fun for all ages, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be casting lines from a 23' Stoner bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Full Day Trip
You can plan the trip, but you can't plan the weather.
On our trip, we had a lot of wind and light rain off and on, but Capt. Cody Martin still put us on the fish. My son and l had a blast. We caught tons of reds, black drum, trout and 4 huge guar that were unexpected, but put up great fights. Capt. Cody Martin grew up fishing these waters. He was very knowledgable and professional. Most of all he made sure that we a great time. He took care of everything and he took care of us. Best fishing trip we ever had. We will definitely be booking all our trips with Capt. Cody from now on. We are already looking forward to our next fishing trip with him as our guide. Thanks Capt. Cody. It was GREAT !!!
