We were visiting for one day on a cruise. I had read some pretty bad reviews of the various fishing excursions offered by the cruiseline and I wasn’t interested in just going for a boat ride. I am glad I found Chris on my own. Communication was easy, he set up direct transport round trip from our cruise terminal and made sure we were back in time for departure. We did a combo halibut / salmon trip. First fish was on before the second line was even in the water and the action continued. Chris was great with the kids. Boat was comfortable even on a rainy day. Caught halibut, cod, rockfish, and king salmon (early july). Process to ship fish home was seamless.
In Ketchikan on cruise with only time for a 4 hour charter. Chris kept an eye on our cruise and took us out early due to scheduling. He also helped with transportation to make it easy on us. Talked to a few people that they had caught nothing with the charters booked through the cruise. Boat is a fishing machine and was a “comfortable” ride. He works hard and had us catching fish through out our charter. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks!

We started off by telling Captain Chris that we wanted to change things up just a bit as King Salmon season was 2 days out. Decided to do a little bottom fishing. Capt wasn't prepared for such but said we can make it work. We did, he took us out to catch some rockfish to use as bait. We'll, after hitting the day limit of 3 halibut we moved on for a little sport fishing which we caught 2 King Salmon and one was about 32 inches long. ALL THIS WAS DONE ON A 4 HOUR TRIP...Great captain, boat and experience all together. Definitely would recommend Chris. Not to mention, Captain brought in a bald eagle about 10 ft from the boatwith the rockfish scraps. EXTRAS-what a neat little place clover pass is.
And we are complete newbies. Chris had a huge comfortable boat, protection from the elements, and the back was large enough for us to congregate in too. All top of the line equipment, and Chris made sure our trip was a success and IT WAS. We caught 2 huge Silver Salmon and 3 small kings we threw back. It felt like The REAL Alaska. Highly recommend.
Capt Chris put us on the fish early. We caught 11 fish (10 salmon and 1 rock fish) in our 4-hr tour. The momentum was high until a large pod of Orca came through and pushed the salmon away. I can’t wait to get back up to Ketchikan. When I do, I’m definitely calling Capt Chris.
