Untamed Horizon Expeditions 

If fishing in Morganton is on your bucket list, look no further than Untamed Horizon Expeditions.

Around here it's common to catch Brown Trout, Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brook Trout, and more with any luck. On these trips, you can expect to using light tackle. Capt. Cruz also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Capt. Cruz operates a 15' BRIS inflatable drift boat with room for 1 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Cruz will provide rods and reels for you. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
