Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Cubera Snapper, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Amberjack, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Your boat for the day is a 28' sportfishing vessel that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are covered by the charter, but feel free to ask the captain about if you want to bring your personal equipment.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

All fishing charters include drinks, fresh fruit, snack and equipment. Full days and 3/4 days include sandwiches/ lunch.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen and long sleeve shirt (you can buy a Costa Catch Nosara fishing shirt onboard. If you'd like to bring other drinks and beverages feel free. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

An incredible family fishing experience!

Half Day Trip – Offshore (AM) on July 28, 2025 • 4 adults

Family of four, Mom, Dad, daughter (17) and son (14), we had an amazing fishing afternoon with Marco and Guillermo, they know their stuff really well and put us on fish right away! We told them a few species we hoped to catch and they put their knowledge of the area and techniques to work! We caught and released 2 Sailfish, we also caught 2 Dorado, 1 Wahoo, 1 Yellowtail tuna and 3 White tuna (albacore). They made us tuna ceviche on board which was amazing, filet the fish to take with us and overall were super fun! Will definitely recommend them if you're in the Nosara area!

It was just my wife and I and by no means are we experienced. Rainy season in CR and we didn't know what to expect. Captain and crew put us on fish immediately! we initially caught a small yellowfin keeper and a number of small black tuna that we used for live but. Caught100 pound sailfish. Then hooked and landed a 60-70 pound yellowfin! While fighting that yellowfin, we hooked into another sailfish. Incredible!! The other charters in the area were not as productive. I highly recommend Costa Catch Nosara to everyone. Fresh fruit and drinks on board were a nice touch. This was our first CR fishing trip and I plan to book with this crew if I can the next time we visit. Very professional and knowledgeable!! Thank you for a memorable adventure!!! Best part of our vacation by far!!! Pura Vida!!

Amazing trip!

Captain Marco and his nephew Nelson were great! I fish a lot of charters NE US. Marco put us on the fish immediately. Other boats came up empty, but we had nonstop action and pleasant company. I will return and fish with Marco again.

Getting to Garza was easy. Everybody knows Marcos in Garza, so getting to his boat was easy. We were on fish within 2 minutes of arriving to tuna grounds. Guillermo filets the fish on the boat, makes an awesome tuna tartar, and cuts up fruit. Within 4 hours, we got out, caught tuna, and arrived back with 30+ lbs of yellowfin. Unreal experience.

Half Day Trip – Offshore (AM) on July 26, 2025 • 2 adults

We had a blast on our half day of off shore fishing, Capt Marco put us on some tuna and there were 100's of dolphin swimming in their school with the tuna close by. His crew member kept the boat tidy and fixed us up a wonderful fruit breakfast and a fresh tuna lunch after catching a mess of them. The boat ride back to shore was a relaxing treat to end the trip.
