Mirse Azul Sport Fishing – 26' Mirse Azul
Spend the day with Mirse Azul Sport Fishing and get hooked on fishing in Quepos! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Alban can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Snook, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, Albacore Tuna, Roosterfish, Almaco Jack, Skipjack Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Swordfish, Peacock Bass, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Fish caught during the trip are yours to take with you, so long as they're within the legal limit.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your boat for the day is a 26' center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.
And that's it! Your fishing trip with Mirse Azul Sport Fishing is waiting for you!

Captain Luis Carlos and his mate did a great job finding fish for us. We caught Yellow fin tuna, Wahoo, Mahi, and skip jacks. We hooked a sailfish but it spit the hook before we got it to the boat. It was a bucket list trip for me and we had a great time! I would highly recommend this boat and crew.

Luis Carlos and his boat Mirse Azul was top notch and I would rank as a 10+ I have been fishing for years and been on many excursions and this was one of the top memorable adventures. Tournament size Rooster, Red Snapper, Big Eye Jack, Black Tip Reef Shark and we would have loved to stay out more then the 8 hours. Captain Luis made sure we caught what we came for!!! Much appreciated and all around great. Would we go again with him? He'll yes!!!!!!

We booked 3/4 day w Mirse Azul. Wanted dorado or marlin or other off shore. Motored 45 min out. As soon as we were on fish Elvis and Rico quickly had 7 trolling lines out. We landed a large marlin almost immediately. Rest of the day was slow but same for all boats out (Elvis was working the radio). Fishing ain't always catchin' and everyone needs to remember that. Crew worked hard all day for us. Super nice. sandwiches, water, snacks all good. boat takes 4 so it was just my family on the water which was also really nice. Boat has 2 big new motors so we made good time and pretty quiet. Also saw dolphins, flyijg fish, turtles. Bano on board too for ladies. I'd go with them again!

Thank you so much for your kind review. Looking forward to fishing with you again in the near future!

we caught Mackeral, Snapper and Jack. caught nine fish ad had many more on.

Attentive Captain and crew! Great experience!
