Make the most of your time in Cancún and go fishing with Nuj Kay Team. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mauro can tell you all about them.
Around here the fishing is popular for Great Barracuda, Mutton Snapper, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, White Marlin, Horse-eye Jack, Wahoo, Gray Triggerfish, Blackfin Tuna, Black Grouper, and more if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Mauro believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Capt. Mauro will bring you aboard the Marlin Monroe, a 30' Luhrs Express sportfishing boat with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Nuj Kay Team will make it easy for you to go fishing in Cancún aboard the Marlin Monroe. So, how about booking that trip?
