Species like Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Cobia, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Sheepshead, Redfish, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll, fish on oil rigs, wrecks and reefs bottom fishing using light or heavy tackle.

Capt. Chris is happy to have kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

Capt. Chris will bring you aboard a 29' Sea Fox center console with room for 6 passengers. All the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
