American Gulf Fishing Charters – Port Fourchon / Grand Isle, Louisiana

Our mission is to help people fall in love with fishing the way we did; not just the catch, but the process, the challenge, and the connection to the water. We’re here to build real anglers who carry that passion forward to the next generation. One fish, one fight, one trip is all it takes to start a new legacy, and we want our boat to be the foundation of many.

Fish the deep blue waters off Grand Isle and Port Fourchon for Red Snapper, Cobia, Amberjack, Grouper, Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi, depending on the season. Every trip is customized — whether we’re bottom fishing, trolling, drifting, or jigging, we’ll do whatever it takes to find the bite.

“DEVILDOG” is our 34 Venture center console. She’s got a heavy open-hull design built for heavy seas. This boat doesn’t dance on top of the chop, it blasts straight through without flinching. One of the best rides in it's class.

With fuel efficient Yamaha 300s and a 300 gal fuel tank, we can get out to the big waters with room to roam.  There’s plenty room to spread out, big boxes for your catch, and all the gear we need for serious offshore fishing. Devildog is equiped with all safety equipment required by USCG.

With federal reef permits, we are licensed to fish red snapper and all other reef species in federal waters, well beyond the 9-mile limit where state-only charter boats are required to stop. Not every offshore charter has this permit, so booking with us means access to deeper water, bigger fish, cooler species, and more opportunity.

We are family and kid friendly. Be sure to bring a comfortable PFD for children. We have all USCG required PFDs on board, but they are not intended for all-day wear.

A 15–20% gratuity for excellent service is customary in the charter industry and always appreciated.

Fuel is not included in the base trip price. The total fuel burned during the trip will be totaled and paid for at the dock upon returning.

Making Memories
Half Day Trip – Offshore Fishing - 11:00 AM on July 25, 20263 adults

I just wanted to share how awesome Shane and Roger were, especially since our group had never done deep-water fishing before. Working with them was seriously amazing! They didn't just make sure we were catching fish and having a totally memorable time, they also patiently showed us the ropes and made sure we felt completely comfortable out on the water. Honestly, they were the absolute best! This was the perfect setup for a father-son trip, and honestly, it's one we're totally bragging about. It's gonna be tough to beat this for our next getaway!

GREAT trip!!
Half Day Trip – Offshore on May 23, 20264 adults1 child

Shane and his crew, Roger, totally killed it. Weather was tough, but they worked their butts off and put us on big fish. We had three kids with us, and they were super patient, flexible and accommodating. Can’t recommend this boat enough - we’ll definitely be back!! Made some great memories! Thank you guys!!!

I'm a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and lifelong outdoorsman from Thibodaux, Louisiana. Raised on the bayous and mentored by a family of hunters and fishermen, I developed a deep respect for the water early on. What started with solo runs in my 17-foot Sea Chaser chasing red snapper, mangroves, and cobia evolved, over the next 10 years, into a calling to share the incredible resources of the Gulf with others. In 2025 that calling came to life with American Gulf Fishing Charters. I combine professionalism, preparation, and a love of adventure to deliver safe, unforgettable trips off Grand Isle and Port Fourchon. I'm also a Certified Freediver. I enjoy hunting the oil rigs and shipwrecks for snapper and cobia with a speargun. On land, I'm a 4th generation butcher and manager of my family's 135-year-old butcher shop in Thibodaux - Bourgeois Meat Market.
