If you're ready to have fun fishing in Galveston, we've got you covered with 409 Charters. With Captain Connor at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
For all of our Bay/Wade trips expect to fish for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum and more. We will also be offering some near-shore State water trips where you can expect to make a run for Red Snapper, Cobia, or Tripletail depending on when you go and that days conditions.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Connor welcomes you aboard a 24' Skuta Cat with capacity for 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Wade fishing trip with Capt Connor
We had a great experience with Captain Connor for a targeted Speckled Trout trip. Having not wade fished that much, he was very informative and was able to instruct me on how to have great results. He has great knowledge over the area and was easily able to put us on some big fish. The boat is brand new and was a very comfortable ride all around the bay. In addition, the step at the back makes it very easy to get in and out of the boat when it is time to wade. 409 Charters made our trip an awesome experience and I fully plan to use them again when in the area!

Amazing Day with Captain Connor!
Had a great day on the water with Captain Connor and 409 Charters! The boat was super up to date and fun to ride on. We ended up catching too many speckled trout to count and many of them were over the “slot” and too big to keep. The highlight of the trip had to be when we ended up doubling up on redfish. Safe to say.. I'll be booking again this year! Connor and Daniel have really put in the time and effort learning the waters and fish patterns. They've got a great boat and awesome gear. I especially liked the rods they have, super light and flicky.
