Tides and Tails Guide Service

Texas City, TX, United States
Texas City TX, United States

Tides and Tales Guide Service operates out of Texas City, TX, fishing whole of the Galveston Bay Complex in search of trophy Trout, monster Redfish, and tasty Flounder. The Galveston Bay Complex is widely recognised as one of the very best places around for inshore and flats fishing, with murky shallows and and grass flats filled to bursting with amazing fish just waiting for you to get a hook in the water!

You will be spending your day aboard Captain Mark Salazar’s 26 ft Mowdy center console. Powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, she can carry 4 passengers at a speed of up to 40 knots straight to the very best spots in the bay, where her shallow draft will allow you to get deep into the skinny waters in search of the best catch.

Tides and Tales Guide Service specializes in drift and wade fishing for trophy catches on artificial lures. Captain Mark has been fishing the area for almost 25 years and has found this to be the most fun and effective way of landing the best catch, so that is what he focuses on. If you prefer, however, you can also purchase live bait for an additional charge, and Captain Mark will provide a livewell to keep it fresh.

One thing you can be sure of with Tides and Tales Guide service is that you will be fishing with a captain who is deeply passionate about what he does. “Always on the water” is more than just a company motto, and it won’t take long for you to see how much he loves being out in the bay, and sharing his favorite spots and tricks with everyone who steps aboard.
