If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Southern Strike. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Q knows them forwards and back.
Black Drum, Bluefish, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Black Grouper, Speckled Trout, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Redfish, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, and more could be biting if conditions are right. You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Q can also take you Flounder gigging.
Southern Strike is a child-friendly charter service, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks!
You'll be dropping lines from a 19' Triton bay boat with room for 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Water is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

5 Stars – Awesome Day on the Water!
We had an amazing time on our fishing charter! Captain Q was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knew all the best spots. He made the experience enjoyable and easy to follow, even for those of us who weren’t experienced anglers. What really stood out was how great he was with our teenagers—he was patient, upbeat, and kept them engaged the whole time. They had a blast reeling in fish and learning the ropes, and they haven’t stopped talking about it since. The boat was well-equipped, the vibe was relaxed and fun, and we all felt safe and well taken care of. Highly recommend this charter for families or anyone looking for a great day of fishing with a captain who knows his stuff and makes it fun for everyone!!

6 Hour Trip-Offshore (Sportfisher)
Captain Q to the rescue
We booked our charter to coordinate with our family trip. Mother Nature did not get the memo. With a very impressive lightning storm moving through the morning of our trip it looked like we were not going to get a chance to fish safely. Then Captain Q to the rescue. He reached out the afternoon before and made us aware of the incoming weather. He offered offered contingency plans. Communicated the morning of the trip. When the weather showed signs of a window of opportunity he immediately messaged us to make it happen. Even though we changed plans due to the weather Capt Q was ready and waiting for us at the dock. The boat was meticulously clean and well equipped. Live bait in the live well. Cut bait in the cooler. Rods rigged for the type of fish we were targeting. Everything was perfect. Once on the water Capt Q and his crew were amazing. Put us on the bite right away. My young son had never been offshore fishing so they made sure to ease him in. Before you knew it he was boating the largest fish of his life. A very large red snapper that he will remember for a long time. The crew made sure to coach him through the catch and remembered to get lots of pictures (since I did not remember). They continued to fight the choppy conditions and the hungry dolphin to keep us on the fish. We hooked multiple species through a variety of different techniques. If you’re looking for a memorable trip and an overall great experience Captain Q is your man! You will not be disappointed. We are already planning another trip.

Best fishing charter I’ve ever taken!!!
Captain Q is the man! He made sure that my family and myself were comfortable, entertained, and prepared for a good day of fishing! We are over 50 fish between the four of us. King mackerel, amberjack, triggerfish, red snapper, red grouper, and some more that I don’t remember the name of. He cleaned the fish real well afterwards. If you want Captain with a good sense of humor and who was committed to you and your crew catching some fish, I would highly recommend booking with Captain Q.

Captain Q is awesome!
We did the night inshore fishing trip. It was myself and my kids. Captain Q was very knowledgeable about everything we needed to know. He was great with my kids and taught them the right way to catch the fish. I didn’t catch her name but his first mate was great also with us. They were very attentive to all our needs. We will definitely be back next year.
