Islamorada has a fish with your name on it, so let Bout Time Sport fishing help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Tj is prepared to put you on fish.

These waters are known for Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Bonito, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Tj can also show you kite fishing.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Capt. Tj runs a 42' Hatteras sport fishing vessel with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% or more tip is customary, based on your trip experience.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include sunblock, a hat, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

And that's it! Your fishing trip with Bout Time Sport fishing is just a click away.

first time fishing in the keys
Half Day Trip (PM) on March 27, 20262 adults

We had a great experience on Bout Time . Tj and Eddie were very patient and knowledgeable. Being very inexperienced and never having been fishing in the keys before they explained what to do (and not do) and helped us catch many yellowtail. We would’ve loved to get a big catch and they did their best to make it happen, but we didnt get any bites other than a small shark. They filleted the yellowtail for us when we got back to the dock and we took it to Wahoos right there and had them cook it. So delicious! Overall one of the best days of our vacation! Thank you for an amazing day!

Yellowtail Snapper

🎣 fish on
3/4 Day Trip (AM) on January 12, 20263 adults

Great day fishing with Captain TJ and Eddie. Both captain and first mate do an excellent job explaining the strategy and techniques use for the species of fish we were after. Cought lots of yellow snapper, a permit, and a Bonita. We also tried for some sailfish but no luck. I would recommend the trip on the BoutTime with captain TJ and Eddie, they know how and where to catch fish.

I started working on charter boats at age 12. From that early age, I had two passions in life, baseball and fishing. In 2014 I started my own charter business in the great lakes, an built that to multiple boats and nearly 90% repeate clientele. I began taking the winters to work and train in the Florida keys. After several years, i chose to sell the business in the great lakes and pursue my dream in the florida keys. There's no where on this earth i'd rather be, than out on the water. I have a true passion for showing others why i love fishing more than anything.
